How Your Energy Frequency Impacts Everything in Your Life, from Relationships to Cortisol Levels

Have you ever met someone who always seemed uplifting and positive? When you reflect on them you don’t have anything negative to say. They are enjoyable to be around because they energize rather than drain you. This is a skill set, because we all have negative thoughts or situations we experience, but some people are better at managing them than others so as not to contaminate their surroundings.

The idea of energy vibrations refers to the concept that everything in the universe is made up of energy, and that this energy can have different frequencies or vibrations. According to this theory, our thoughts and emotions also have energy vibrations that can impact our lives.

In terms of relationships and career, having positive energy can help attract positive people and opportunities into our lives and motivate people to be around us (and stay long term). Energy influences outcomes.

Conversely, negative energy vibrations can repel them. This is why maintaining a positive attitude, cultivating gratitude, and focusing on what we want rather than what we don't want can be helpful. Focusing on negative occurrences drains our energy, and impacts our performance at work, our health, and experiences with others. Besides, if like me, you figure you’ve got 30 something years left to live, do you really want to be focusing on the bad things from your past, or something someone did, whether it was from 5 minutes or 5 years ago?

In terms of cortisol levels and health, stress and negative emotions can elevate cortisol levels, which can have negative impact on our health over time. Elevated cortisol impacts your ability to lose body fat, get quality sleep, raises your blood pressure, and increases your blood sugar levels. Positive emotions can help reduce cortisol levels and promote better health. This is why stress management techniques such as meditation, exercise, and relaxation techniques can be helpful in managing cortisol levels and promoting overall health and wellbeing.

But what do you do when Life throws you a crappy occurrence or someone does something you wish they hadn’t? Diffuse it, don’t expand it with more garbage. Try processing it by breaking it into bite size pieces, go for a walk, workout, meditate, journal, and pause. Guard your energy. Get on track with thoughts, healthy habits, projects that fulfill your purpose, and productivity that moves you forward. You can also seek professional advice if needed.
